Route: Woodbridge – Aldeburgh – Southwold – Lowestoft
I haven't appreciated the amplitude of tides in the North sea! (~2m give or take). Many estuaries with fishing boats and even luxury yachts sitting on sand in low water – even if you have one and want to get to the sea right now, have to respect the nature's cycle!
A defensive fort in Aldeburgh built in early XIX century to protect against Napoleon's planned invasion
Dunwich, an old town gradually swallowed by the sea while still preserving its two places in the Parliament (until rotten boroughs were abolished in XIX century)
The easternmost point of England in Lowestoft (a very inconspicuous place in an industrial zone; the direction to Paris is almost exactly south!)
